Spread across Somerset County, the Little Free Libraries offer an opportunity for area residents to obtain free reading materials. We are always looking for donations of books for persons of all ages. If your organization would like to have a Little Free Library placed outside of your location, please contact us at 410-968-1508.

Telemedicine provides an opportunity to make health care available to individuals who are in remote and rural areas. Somerset County Maryland is amongst the poorest counties in the state and has one of the lowest access to care. Recognized by the state as having poorest health outcomes and with high health needs, we believe that telemedicine may be an answer to improving our community health.
Somos, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health,
education and welfare of the rural residents of Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Somos, Inc. was selected as the lead agency for the technical assistance grant from a White House Initiative identifying Crisfield as a Local Foods Local Places community.
The Bayside Harvest Market is open Saturdays from 8am - 1pm at 920 W. Main Street in Crisfield, Maryland. Vendors who would like to participate are invited to be at the market without charge this year as we begin our farmers market.
There is a Crisfield Community Garden located at the Bayside Harvest Market and another located next to city hall in downtown Crisfield.
Opportunities are available for area high school, college and graduate students who are interested in rural health.
